At what time can I check into my room?
Check in time: 3:00 PM, check out time: 11:00am. If you happen to arrive earlier and your room is ready you can check in. If we are still preparing, you can leave your luggage, change and go to the beach or explore the town.
What are front desk hours?
The front desk is open most days 8:00am – 4:00pm. You will have advised us of your arrival time, so there will be someone there to meet you. Call the main numbers if you have a problem 52-998-159-8890 or USA 1-347-298-1188. If you are travelling with our airport transfer service they will call ahead for you as well.
I’m leaving early, can I check out the night before I leave?
Please settle the bill the night before then you can just leave your keys behind.
What is the maximum number of people per room?
Each room can accommodate up to 4 people:
What is the difference between the upstairs and downstairs rooms?
The four upstairs rooms have partial ocean views with wonderful breezes. The downstairs room has a garden view.
Do all your rooms have ensuite bathrooms with hot water?
Yes! All our rooms have a private bathrooms with hot and cold water.
Do you offer drinking water in the rooms? Can I drink the tap water?
It is not recommended to drink the water from the faucet. We have free unlimited purified drinking water in the rooms.
Is there a safe in my room?
All rooms have a safe.
Are children welcome?
Can I bring my pets?
Sorry, pets cannot be accommodated at Casa Caribe.
Are there kitchens?
In the Cabañas apartments there are fully equipped kitchens.
Is there a Pool?
Guests at the Cabañas have full access to an onsite pool.
Do you require deposits to reserve a room?
50% deposit is required to secure your booking and the balance can be paid on arrival. All deposits must be paid through Paypal in Paypal.me/casacaribe or deposited to our Mexican or Canadian bank accounts.
Can I get a refund if I have to cancel?
You will get a full deposit refund if you cancel 60 days prior to arrival. If you call us with less than 60 days notice, we will refund your deposit only if we are able to re-rent the room for the time you reserved.
Is there a special rate for single occupancy?
The room rate is the same for single or double occupancy. From 3 to 4 people per room, there is an extra charge per night ($40 USD per person per night).
How do we pay the balance and what is the best way to carry money?
We are rather partial to cash. We will accept Mexican pesos and US and Canadian Dollars. If you are paying in Mexican Pesos, we will give the best exchange rate for that day. Most people find it easier to use ATM cards rather than travel with large amounts of cash. ATM machines are close by and usually air-conditioned.
Where can I exchange currency?
The best rate is found using your ATM card. There is a Currency Exchange booth on the Town Square where you can exchange USD, Euros, Pounds and other currencies for Mexican Pesos. It is best to shop in pesos but most shops will accept USD/CAD. You should be aware of the exchange rate they are giving you.
What amenities does Casa Caribe & Cabañas offer?
We do not advertise ourselves as a hotel but we like to provide accessories to make your stay fun – drinking water, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, dominoes, etc. For a list of room amenities, go to the Rooms page.
Do you have parking available and how much does it cost?
There is plentiful street parking in front of Casa Caribe. It gets a little less so on weekends but parking can always be found close by.
Do you have WIFI internet?
We have free WiFi throughout the hotel.
Do you offer meals?
Only breakfast…so far!
Do you provide iron and ironing boards?
Yes, should you need an iron and iron board, please contact our office staff. If you feel the need to iron on your vacation we will be happy to supply additional items for you.
Do you have laundry service?
We can help you with your laundry for 10 Mexican Pesos per item.

We are located in the heart of Puerto Morelos opposite the beach and three blocks north of the town square. Click in the icon in the top right corner to go to Google Maps.

What is the weather like?
Puerto Morelos is tropical all year round but tends to be fresher in December to March and May – September is our hottest period. Check out accuweather.com for current conditions in Puerto Morelos and Cancun. We do not actually worry about the weather, it is just what it is when you wake up.
